Our Story

When Helene met Ralph in 1967, she wasn’t afraid to leave her home in Strasbourg, France.

She moved to the United States. Raised family in Los Angeles. And became a grandmother as she watched her family grow up across the U.S.

And all the while, her original family has lived in Strasbourg and France to this day.

On Helene’s last trip to Strasbourg in 2015. She brought her son, grandson, and granddaughter.

She gave us countless memories with Family, Friends, and Traditions we never knew.

And naturally, almost every great memory was made around Alsatian Food, Wine, and Espressos

We realized the tastes we missed didn’t come from the cafe’s or the shoppes.

It was the recipes our family shared - like Denise’s Favorite Salad, or Pascal’s home infused Schnapps

Something already delicious - with just the right care to detail - made into something so much better

When Grandma Helene brought us to get a taste of her culture, she never expected us to embrace it so quickly

And while reliving the memories through readopted tradition has always been easy,

We never quite found any of the flavors we experienced to be as easily recreated.

At every meal and memory in Strasbourg, Grandma Helene had us raise our glasses together for a cheers

We still keep that cheers close today - Each time bringing us back to old memories, and together for new ones
